Welcome to 2020, a year known for it’s tumultuous events that seem to never end and most of us are probably feeling drained. Our mental clarity has taken a plummet and our vibes are dull.. Now more than ever, it’s extremely important  to guard your vibe and energy as we are quickly finding out that many of those we encounter these days, are sociopaths. Protecting your vibe and mental clarity  is even easier than you think. If you don’t know how than here is a simple list to get you going. Don’t worry when reading this, as you may have a bit of a reality check…and that’s okay! We all need them from time to time as it aids in self-growth. Being able to protect your vibe and mental clarity also helps with self-love. Here’s a list of ten simple ways to protect your vibe and mental clarity, even during a pandemic! Ο Learn to let go of things you cannot control-

Unfortunately you cant stop a tornado from happening, or deadly virus outbreak, though you can prevent simple anxiety. One of the largest leading factors that lead to anxiety is procrastination. You can control that. Learn to set a new routine for yourself and start by making a small to-do list to help you stay focused on your tasks. Training your mind, body, and soul to accomplish even the smallest of tasks is a great way to stick to a plan. We cant control the things we cant, like losing a job. But we can get a new job.

Ο Avoid comparing yourself to others-

It’s so easy to find ourselves comparing our lives to someone else’s and thinking that the grass is greener on the other side. To be quite frank, if you focus on watering your won garden, you wouldn’t have to wonder IF the grass was truly greener on the other side. . That’s not fair to you, or the person whom you feel is above you. You don’t know how long it took them to get to that place. Don’t compare where your at in your life to someone else. It will belittle you and have you feeling defeated. If you find yourself in this position, make a change if you can. Toxic friend draining your energy? Love them from a distance. Stuck in a job where its a dead end? Do  what you need to do to get to where your standards are.

 

 

 

 

Ο Always keep your faith larger than your fears

It’s like looking for the sun when the rain never stops. Anytime anything negative happens, figured out a way to make the problem better. Try pushing yourself out of your comfort box. For example, I have a difficult time going into the grocery store these days. I have to mentally tell myself that I need groceries and my kids need food to eat.

Ο Don’t do anything that doesn’t feel right with your vibe.

I learned A LONG TIME AGO, always trust your gut instinct because 9/10 it’s always correct.  Practice saying no. Say no to anything that doesn’t sit well with you; you are entitled to make your own decisions and your feelings are valid.

Ο Do spend time alone.

When my anxiety is super crazy some days, I like to shut myself in my dark bedroom, put a weighted blanket  over me and listen to some ASMR on YouTube. It’s very soothing and satisfying; spending time alone can ensure your empty cup gets refilled. Being in world full of sociopaths can be very draining so it;s important to make time for ourselves. There’s 24 hours in a day, you are entitled and deserving of at least one hour of the 24.

Ο Avoid gossip and bashing others-

All I will say about this one is, it’s impossible to grow if you’re always worried about what someone else is doing. Water your own grass and focus on it’s growth. Plus, you know you’d be p!ssed if you were in the spot light. Im sure we all learned in grade school that it isn’t nice to talk about someone when they aren’t there to defend themselves

Ο Speak kindly to yourself and to other people

Positive affirmations are a great way to put yourself in a self-love routine. Simply start with a simple affirmation. “I am beautiful.” “I can do this.” See my full affirmation’s list to get of easy to follow positive affirmations.

 

 

 

Ο Stay away from people who drain your energy

These types of people may be known as toxic people. If you’re afraid to cut a toxic family member off, love them from a distance. After a while though, you’ll learn how to  politely tell them to f*ck off. Once you realize how precious you and your time are, it becomes that much easier to drop the dead weight.  I’m also talking about those so called friends who claim to always have your back, but when the time comes they’re nowhere in sight. Or those friends who never call you to check in, but then claim they hate everyone and so forth…those kind of people will hinder your growth.

Ο Ignore any opinions that don’t enhance your life

The way I look at it is, if someone has something to say about my life, they better make sure their closest is empty before judging someone else. Learning how to ignore any opinions that DON’T ENHANCE YOUR LIFE can take a long time., but it is crucial in order to protect your state of mind. I used to find myself overthinking every mean  word said to me. Often times I would actually believe those words and end up in a depressive slump of self-doubt.

Ο Stop doubting yourself

Self doubt kills more dreams than I can count. Self doubt is a physical trait that rents a room in your head and feeds you negative thoughts. We must teach ourselves not to fill our beautiful brains with such negativity. As someone who has doubted herself for a very long time, I finally taught myself how to cope with such negativity. When I first started my blog, I had what was known as “impostor Syndrome”, meaning, I kept telling myself I wasn’t good enough for x,y, and z. I redirected who I spent my time on and how much of my time and ideas I was giving away. Be mindful of what goes in your head, because when you feed it positive thoughts, positive outcomes start happening.
