• 7 Tips For Work At Home Moms with Young Kids

Are You Wondering How Other Busy A’s Moms Are Building Their Businesses AND Wrangling the Kids?

Here Are My Top Tips For Work At Home Moms With Young Kids.

It’s all well and fun when a mom claims to be successful working from home with older kids but what about working from home with young kids?

We all know they require more attention and are more demanding with your time. It can almost seem impossible to be able to juggle them all.

Let’s take a look at my top tips for work at home moms with younger kids:

    1. Block Out Time To Work When You Know They Will Be Sleeping

This can be a challenging task and seem way too easy for most but it’s super important to execute this. I’m sure you’ve been there, as I have (many times!) You try and get things done during their naps and for whatever reason, they don’t sleep as long as you had anticipated. You end up getting frustrated and feel like your plan failed. When I saw this pattern happening repeatedly, I knew I needed to change something. My solution to this was to use the time before my daughters woke up in the morning and after they went to bed. I used the time in the middle of the day for dinner prep, grocery shopping/other errands that needed to get done, and catching up on chores. It’s super helpful to make a to-do list for the entire day when you wake up or the night before. This helps with following through with your daily goals.

    2. Organize Your Work Tasks

When you only a certain amount of time, you need to organize your tasks very wisely. This way you can use every little bit of free time you have to do something productive for your business. You’d surprised at just how much more you can accomplish when you know exactly what you need to work on and when. This is something that I’ve found other work-at-home moms really struggle with. Be sure to download my FREE productivity planner for Busy Work From Home Moms.

    3. Plan Periods of Childcare

No this does not mean that you have to put your children into childcare but it can be as simple as doing a childcare swap with another boss mom. You have her kid(s) for a few hours and vice versa. This is a really simple way to make sure you’re getting some very much-needed uninterrupted time work on your business.

    4. Prioritize Your Business

This one is SUPER important + I can’t stress this enough. As a mom, you’ve got a never-ending list that is probably longer than your leg that needs to get done in a week. It’s easy to have things slip down the list, or as I call it “save them for later’s”. DON’T LET THAT HAPPEN WITH YOUR BUSINESS! Commit to making it work and communicate that with your partner. Your job is important. Make your vision known for it and make them aware that you’re needing time to work on it.

I remember listening to a podcast ( a new thing for me!) and there was a work-at-home mom that was being interviewed. She had built a multi-seven figure business but during the initial stages, her partner did not support her vision. Her response to him was “you don’t have to support it but just don’t get in my way.” Ever since then it has stuck with me.

    5. Automate or Delegate Household

Start thinking about tasks that you have to do for the household that can be automated. That may be banking, grocery delivery, or hiring a cleaner. Whatever you need to be able to free up more time so you can get more done in your business. Trust me on the grocery to go- it is a LIFE saver for busy mompreneurs!

    6. Have Activities For The Kids That Don’t Require You As Much

If you do need to get work done with the kids around, make sure you have activities that you know they can do with minimal supervision. This, of course, depends on the age of the children but I’ve found playdough, coloring books, laying on the playmat with a mobile above them, or setting up something like a train set have worked for me in the past. This can help when your kids are doing online learning as well. You know your child and you know what they love to do!

    7. Be Clear With Others On Your Workdays

Just because you’re working from home, doesn’t mean you have the time to do everyone’s errands, go out for coffee, and hang out with friends. You’re there to work and that’s what needs to be done. I suggest you turn off all notifications and go back to your plan for your business and get busy working.

I hope these tips for work-at-home moms with young kids help you get started and build your business into the profitable empire you deserve.

Bulletproof ways to monetize your blog

Making money from your blog seems easy enough to do, right? Keep reading to learn more about how to make legit money from your blog. There are about a million and one ways you can make money on the internet these days; as each day goes on, it becomes less and less skeptical to make money from your blog. If you’re new to blogging and all of the information you’ve found on Pinterest is overwhelming and you’re ready to start your blog today, you have come to the right place.

                              >>>Need to start a blog and don’t know where to start? Click here to get started. <<<

As a certified blog coach that reached over 2 million monthly viewers on Pinterest last month, I have worked incredibly hard to perfect my strategy when it comes to getting traffic to your blog. There are MANY ways to make money online, but blogging is my favorite as it is so versatile and has many doorways. Blogging is a great way to earn passive income…meaning you’re basically earning money WHILE YOU SLEEP! Say whaaaaat? Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t mean you can publish 1 or 2 blog posts and call it good and expect to get rich over night. Sadly, it doesn’t work that way, or else everyone would be doing it. Starting a blog takes a lot of time, energy, education, and trial and error. However it will pay off. A few years back it could take ages to start earning money from your blog, but fast forward to 2020 and you could start earning money within days!

    1. Optimize your blog for ads

Optimizing your blog means setting it up to make money. In my experience, it’s highly recommended not to use a free service. You will not  be the owner of your blog OR your website content. When using a free service, you will not get the support you need and you will have very limited design options that will soon attract people to your blog.   If you want to make money from your blog, your site will need to be self-hosted on a server that allows you to completely customize your website. I highly recommend Bluehost.; although its not free, you will be able to host all your files on a server and not have to worry about losing them. This option does come with a price tag, but you have to spend a little money to make a little money. You wont be able to add ads to your blog site if you set up your the blog the wrong way.

    Reasons why you NEED Bluehost:

    • When you click on the links in this post, you will get 60% off the NORMAL COST OF STARTING a blog for my special discount of $2.95 a month. **

They register your blog name for you for free + hassle-free, making it impossible for anyone else to steal your name.

    2. Create Engaging & Eye-catching Content

Many people start a blog for a hobby but then turn it into a business. There’s a difference between getting traffic and getting engaged readers who actually stay on your page for more than 2 seconds. To gain more followers it’s best to write about engaging topics, or topics that offer a solution to a problem.  On top of engaging content that is relatable, you want eye-catching graphics. Be a problem solver and write for your readers and not for yourself. Answer questions they may have.

The best types of blog posts that most likely drive traffic are:

    1. Lists

    2. How-To Guides

    3. Checklists/Cheat Sheets

    4. Infographics

    5. Guest Blogging

    3. Affiliate Marketing

Now that you have optimized your blog site and created gorgeous content, it’s time to learn about affiliate marketing as it is a great way for beginner bloggers to start earning money. Remember, it’s key to learn how to drive free traffic to your blog so that you can turn your traffic into customers.

    1. Chose the best affiliate marketing platform.
    2. Select product and link
    3. Fill your blog post with related specific key words
    4. Place link in related blog post
    5. Share your content link on Pinterest.
    6. Wait for people to purchase product through your affiliate link.

    It’s really that easy!

    4. Don’t Be Afraid of Investing

If you are serious about making money blogging, it’s time to invest in yourself and your blogging biz. There are a lot of great free resources out there, and you can learn so much from free courses but if you’re struggling with any step along the way, don’t be afraid of investing money in  a coach or course that could help you shortcut your learning time. They are proven to be beneficial to monetizing your blog. As I like to say, knowledge is power.

    5. Create a Product or Service

Aside from just “blogging”, you can use your blogging skills to freelance your work. By freelancing your work, you can create logos, become a coach/consultant, or create a printable, courses, and much more. You can easily promote your work on Pinterest using a strong keyword strategy. In April 2020, my blog post “Activities for Kids to do at home” drove over 50,0000 just from that one post. My affiliate links blew up and I was able to cash in on my activity list.

Leave a reply in the comments and tell me about your blogging journey!

  • Ten Simple Ways to Protect Your Vibe

Ten Simple Ways to Protect Your Vibe and Mental Clarity

in a world full of sociopaths.

    positivity, health, mental health awareness.

Welcome to 2020, a year known for it’s tumultuous events that seem to never end and most of us are probably feeling drained. Our mental clarity has taken a plummet and our vibes are dull.. Now more than ever, it’s extremely important  to guard your vibe and energy as we are quickly finding out that many of those we encounter these days, are sociopaths. Protecting your vibe and mental clarity  is even easier than you think. If you don’t know how than here is a simple list to get you going. Don’t worry when reading this, as you may have a bit of a reality check…and that’s okay! We all need them from time to time as it aids in self-growth. Being able to protect your vibe and mental clarity also helps with self-love. Here’s a list of ten simple ways to protect your vibe and mental clarity, even during a pandemic! Go grab yourself a hot cup of coffee and snuggle in. It’s time to drop the dead weight and start living the life you have always wanted.

    how to protect your vibe
how to protect your vibe and inner well-being, even during a pandemic.

Ο Learn to let go of things you cannot control-

Unfortunately you cant stop a tornado from happening, or deadly virus outbreak, though you can prevent simple anxiety. One of the largest leading factors that lead to anxiety is procrastination. You can control that. Learn to set a new routine for yourself and start by making a small to-do list to help you stay focused on your tasks. Training your mind, body, and soul to accomplish even the smallest of tasks is a great way to stick to a plan. We cant control the things we cant, like losing a job. But we can get a new job.

Ο Avoid comparing yourself to others-

It’s so easy to find ourselves comparing our lives to someone else’s and thinking that the grass is greener on the other side. To be quite frank, if you focus on watering your won garden, you wouldn’t have to wonder IF the grass was truly greener on the other side. . That’s not fair to you, or the person whom you feel is above you. You don’t know how long it took them to get to that place. Don’t compare where your at in your life to someone else. It will belittle you and have you feeling defeated. If you find yourself in this position, make a change if you can. Toxic friend draining your energy? Love them from a distance. Stuck in a job where its a dead end? Do  what you need to do to get to where your standards are.

Ο Always keep your faith larger than your fears

It’s like looking for the sun when the rain never stops. Anytime anything negative happens, figured out a way to make the problem better. Try pushing yourself out of your comfort box. For example, I have a difficult time going into the grocery store these days. I have to mentally tell myself that I need groceries and my kids need food to eat.

Ο Don’t do anything that doesn’t feel right with your vibe.

I learned A LONG TIME AGO, always trust your gut instinct because 9/10 it’s always correct.  Practice saying no. Say no to anything that doesn’t sit well with you; you are entitled to make your own decisions and your feelings are valid.

    Ο Do spend time alone.

When my anxiety is super crazy some days, I like to shut myself in my dark bedroom, put a weighted blanket  over me and listen to some ASMR on YouTube. It’s very soothing and satisfying; spending time alone can ensure your empty cup gets refilled. Being in world full of sociopaths can be very draining so it;s important to make time for ourselves. There’s 24 hours in a day, you are entitled and deserving of at least one hour of the 24.

Ο Avoid gossip and bashing others-

All I will say about this one is, it’s impossible to grow if you’re always worried about what someone else is doing. Water your own grass and focus on it’s growth. Plus, you know you’d be p!ssed if you were in the spot light. Im sure we all learned in grade school that it isn’t nice to talk about someone when they aren’t there to defend themselves

Ο Speak kindly to yourself and to other people

Positive affirmations are a great way to put yourself in a self-love routine. Simply start with a simple affirmation. “I am beautiful.” “I can do this.” See my full affirmation’s list to get of easy to follow positive affirmations.

Ο Stay away from people who drain your energy

These types of people may be known as toxic people. If you’re afraid to cut a toxic family member off, love them from a distance. After a while though, you’ll learn how to  politely tell them to f*ck off. Once you realize how precious you and your time are, it becomes that much easier to drop the dead weight.  I’m also talking about those so called friends who claim to always have your back, but when the time comes they’re nowhere in sight. Or those friends who never call you to check in, but then claim they hate everyone and so forth…those kind of people will hinder your growth.

Ο Ignore any opinions that don’t enhance your life

The way I look at it is, if someone has something to say about my life, they better make sure their closest is empty before judging someone else. Learning how to ignore any opinions that DON’T ENHANCE YOUR LIFE can take a long time., but it is crucial in order to protect your state of mind. I used to find myself overthinking every mean  word said to me. Often times I would actually believe those words and end up in a depressive slump of self-doubt.

    Ο Stop doubting yourself

Self doubt kills more dreams than I can count. Self doubt is a physical trait that rents a room in your head and feeds you negative thoughts. We must teach ourselves not to fill our beautiful brains with such negativity. As someone who has doubted herself for a very long time, I finally taught myself how to cope with such negativity. When I first started my blog, I had what was known as “impostor Syndrome”, meaning, I kept telling myself I wasn’t good enough for x,y, and z. I redirected who I spent my time on and how much of my time and ideas I was giving away. Be mindful of what goes in your head, because when you feed it positive thoughts, positive outcomes start happening.

    11 Best Online Side-Hustles of 2020

    Make Money Without Leaving Home!

March 17, 2020, by Brittany Hutchings

Wondering what the best online side hustles of 2020 are? Are you curious about making money online without leaving home? Are you a stay-at-home mom, working mom, college student mom, on the lookout for legitimate work from home jobs? Do you wish to increase your income while enjoying family time or earn some money from a side hustle? Then look no further because you have come to the right spot.

I know,  I know. You’re probably a little skeptical. I was, too, at first. As a broke, young struggling single mom of two I worked two jobs while going to college full time (back then, it was ALL online, so I could pull off doing all 3. No. Not recommended for everyone.) I often found myself scanning the web hours on end to find a way to make a little extra money. But then Pinterest pointed me in the right direction.

Below, I have listed just a few legitimate work-from-home jobs with a pretty good pay scale and can provide you with the high income you’ve been searching for. To start earning money from your couch…or kitchen table. Wanna know the best part? These jobs require little to no experience. Anyone with a smartphone/laptop and a reliable internet connection can do it. It’s that easy.

Eager to see what online jobs I have for you? Then please keep reading 😊

Below, I’ve categorized these different freelance jobs under three main heads for easy convenience.

    Work from home online jobs

Transcription jobs are easily one of my favorites because the job requirements are straightforward. In my opinion, it is like data entry. The best part of transcription jobs is perfect for newbies just starting or skilled transcriptionists. A transcriptionist’s job is to convert audio/video files into written format. For example, I have an audio file that needs to be transcribed. To do this, the audio/file would be talking while I would be writing EXACTLY what was said. When the job is finished, you submit it to the client. That’s it!

Seriously, there are TONS and TONS of online work for transcriptionists. As the popularity of videos is exploding all over the internet, the need for transcriptionists is rapidly growing.

    1. TranscribeMe: TranscribeMe is a great site for beginners to start with, but the only downfall is that it requires a basic transcription test before starting working.
    2. Tigerfish: Tigerfish is one of the largest transcription sites that pay very well and enables freelancers to earn an income right from your comfy couch. It offers a wide variety of jobs from quick and simple to lengthy and time consuming (pay is typically better)
    3. SpeakWrite: If you want to make that extra cash on the side with little effort- then this site is for you! You can literally earn up to a solid 3K in ONE MONTH by working here. So if you have the skills- I highly encourage you to join.
    4. Scribie: Scribie is one of my personal favorites because not only does it provide ample opportunity for freelancers, it’s another website that provides you with ample income. All that is required is simple transcription tasks, and a clear understanding of the English language as an English test is required.
    5. Quickate: The cool thing about Quicktate is that they will literally pay you for every 4 words you successfully transcribe.  Another perk-weekly payment.

    Related Reads:

While editing requires you to study a document for sentence structure, clarity, and flow, proofreading includes reviewing the document as the final step before submitting it to the client. As a proofreader- it is important to read the document several times to ensure that it is free of spelling & grammatical errors. The incredible perk to this job- earn up to $4,000 a month.

These top reliable sites for where you can apply for editing and proof-reading jobs to work from home include the following:

    1. Proofreadingcom: Yet another site where you can apply for editing /proofreading jobs. You can either choose to work full-time or part-time based on your choice. The site provides you with enough work to earn extra money depending on the number of hours you want to put in.
      1.  Domainite:  You will have to edit a sample piece, so you will receive a contract from the site if you do well. This site is great for beginners and to learn new opportunities.
      2. Kibin: Most popular sites where you can apply for editing/proofreading; If you have the skills and keen eye to make a piece of writing well to better, I encourage you to apply on this site and produce a decent amount of income for yourself.
